ORDINANCE NO. 432
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF UPPER PROVIDENCE,
DELAWARE COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING PART FOUR - TRAFFIC, CHAPTER
452, SECTION 452.03 OF THE TOWNSHIP CODE (CODE) TO MODIFY THE PROVISION
FOR EFFECTIVE TIMES OF THE RESIDENTIAL PARKING PROGRAM TO BE AS
DESIGNATED BY COUNCIL AND TO FURTHER ADD THE ROADS OF SHADELAND AND
WOODLAND AVENUE TO THE RESIDENTIAL PERMIT PARKING PROGRAM.
BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. From and after the passage of this
Ordinance, Section 452.03(B) shall be repealed in its entirety and the
following shall constitute Section 452.03(B):
(b) The RPP shall be in effect on the roads
and times designated in Section 452.03(c).
Section 2. From and after the passage of this
Ordinance, Section 452.03(c) shall be repealed in its entirety and the
following shall constitute Section 452.03 (c):
(c) The RPPA covered by
this chapter shall be:
(1) Mancil Road
4:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. of the following day.
(2)
Shadeland Avenue 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. of the following day.
(3)
Woodland Avenue 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily
(4)
Any other street, roadway, avenue or alley, which the Council may
determine to include, by resolution, at any regular or special meeting
of Council.
Section 3. From and after the passage of this
ordinance, Section 452.03(h) shall be amended to read as follows:
(h) The area known as the “RPPA” shall
be posted with a minimum of two signs per block, which shall read as
follows:

PERMIT ONLY
“Designated time “
Section 4: This Ordinance is intended only to amend
Chapter 452, Residential Parking Program of said Code, and such parts of
said Chapter or Code that are not inconsistent with the terms of the
Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect five
(5) days after passage.
