Welcome Junior Council Members: Tovin and Liam!

Upper Providence Township welcomes Tovin Styles as their new Student Council Member. Tovin is currently a junior at Penncrest High School. Tovin has become a Student Council Member because he said “it would give me an opportunity to help out my community and gain leadership experience.” He is also looking forward to getting involved and learning more about local politics and expressing his opinion amongst Council. In addition, he is looking forward to participating in holiday events and activities that help clean up the community. Tovin loves Wawa. One of his favorite things is being able to walk to a nearby Wawa. “This township has a lot available within walking distance to a large part of the community.” After high school, Tovin would like to be a part of West Point Academy and serve our country. In his free time, Tovin likes to play chess and spend quality time with his family. He also enjoys video games, lacrosse, and wrestling.

Upper Providence Township welcomes Liam MacKenzie as their newest Student Council Member. Liam is a senior at Penncrest High School and has always been interested in how local government worked. When he saw this opportunity, he took it. In his new role, Liam is looking forward to meeting new people in the community and seeing how large events and projects get done. When asked what events he is hoping to attend on behalf of Council he said “I will do my best to attend as many events as possible." His favorite part of living in Upper Providence Township is the surrounding environment. “The local town of Media Borough surrounded by the quiet neighborhoods makes it a peaceful place to live." After high school, Liam plans to study biology in college. Although he is still waiting on acceptance letters, he would like to go to McGill University in Montreal. In his free time, Liam likes to play the piano and violin, as well as walk his dog at the local parks.
